The Esk Gorge is a full day out, situated in a truly wild place deep in the heart of the Eskdale valley.
Scramble, climb, swim & jump up to 10m on your way to the top of the gorge, with views of the highest mountains in England.
How long?
The Esk Gorge is a full day and requires a decent level of fitness.
From the car park in Eskdale its a 1 hour walk to the start point. We’ll be scrambling and splashing about in the water for around 4/5 hours.
Then it’s an 1 hour walk back to the cars ( & the pub)
